Following graduation in 1997, she continued to refine her own particular style within the discipline of sculpture. She thrives on subtle confrontation with the viewer drawn from her unique perspective on a social issue, memory, or influence. Her inspirations are natural and urban environments, the body, and the commonality of human experience.

Stratman's work has been shown in a number of exhibitions in the United States and Internationally. Currently her work is represented in US and Australian galleries. She migrated to Melbourne Australia in 2001 and now divides her studio time between Arizona and Melbourne.
